All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Cricket is fully vetted and READY TO GO!!

Cricket is Missy's baby. She was rescued from a hoarding situation at only 4 weeks old.  Cricket is a very sweet, shy little girl but she loves to kiss and cuddle. She also loves to run and play in the backyard.  You should see her run!  She is FAST!  Cricket is potty trained on pads in the house but goes potty in the yard as soon as she is taken out.  It should be an easy transition to have her only potty outside.  Her sister's name is Kayla and they are available to adopt either separately or together.  They love each other, though, and would LOVE to stay together forever.  They have been fostering together and are so easy.  They both sleep through the night in the same little bed.  It is so sweet!  Since they have each other, they are never bored or lonely.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
