All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This adorable girl was brought home and locked up.  Family had a baby, yada yada yada...

then, she was rehomed.... and the new home was not prepared to clean up after a dog who was never properly trained... so THEY locked her up...

This poor dog has known nothing but confinement her whole life!!!

so.... if you want to give this girl a forever home, you need to know... NO KENNELING WILL BE ALLOWED.  If you are not committed to allowing her to free-roam, DO NOT APPLY!~

Update: I am the Foster for Coco, I had a little boy at my house yesterday and Coco just went crazy playing with him. Chased him all around the den, played fetch and jumped up trying io get the toy out of his hand, it was adorable. this little girl is great with kids.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
