All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Cody was pulled from the BARC animal shelter having been confiscated as a cruelty case.  Matted so badly his body waste was sticking to him.  

Cody is a delightful little man.  quiet, loving, gentle, full of gratitude.  He loves being cuddled.  walks well on a leash.  not quite house broken yet.  But, who can blame him?  He probably lived his whole life outside in a breeding kennel.  used and discarded.  

His luck just took a turn for the better.  He will never know hunger, neglect or cruelty again.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
