Mookie needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?

All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston. Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system. To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters. Our adoption fee varies by dog. We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only. A FTA contract is required.

After great medicine, nutrition, love and care, this baby has made a miraculous recovery and is now a playful happy boy!!

This sweet little guy was turned in to BARC after a citizen found him in a parking lot, unable/unwilling to walk.

Mookie is a happy healthy little boy. He loves toys... especially squeaky toys! He loves to snuggle and is an all-around great little dog. Not sure why he hasn't been scooped up yet!!!

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff. We are all volunteers. We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue. We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.

IF YOUR APPLICATION FOR ADOPTION IS APPROVED, WE WILL CONTACT YOU!

If you fail to provide the information requested (Vet and/or personal reference contact information) YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE DENIED.
