All applications from 2024 have been purged. 

All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

The beautiful girl was witnessed being hit by a car and was abandoned at a private vet.  They called the local animal shelter, and the shelter reached out to us!  Initially thought to be a male, we sent this puppy to the vet for surgery immediately.  When they went to neuter him, they realized, he's a SHE!!!

The break took slightly longer to plate/pin and she could  not be spayed at that time.  

We spayed her when we sent her back for her staple removal.

She has healed and is looking a loving home.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
