All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Teddy has no tolerance for people messing with his face, especially groomers!  (biter) so, for this reason this dog

CANNOT BE PLACED IN A HOME WITH CHILDREN  UNDER 15.

This boy is solid.  Most likely a schnauzer/cairn??  I'm not a breeder so it's hard to say for sure.  He was not neutered on intake, but  he was the next day!

Surrendered due to 'no time' Teddy is said to be 'super active' which means he's a normal dog!  He's friendly and will 'go to anyone'

He loves belly rubs and scratches.

Teddy sleeps in his bed.  He is also a flight risk and will bolt out an open door.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
