All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This 3 year old owner surrender was used and abused as a breeding bitch her whole life.

Neglected with chronic ear infections, she finally made it to the loving arms of Yorkie Rescue Houston.  But not before suffering unimaginable pain.

She has a pretty severe head tilt.  We hope that will clear up as the pain goes away.  She is being aggressively treated and needs a FOSTER-TO-ADOPT commitment.

You MUST BE WILLING to take her to OUR vet in Spring as necessary for her medical appointments

She is very quiet, skittish and scared until she trust you.  Then she is a loving, sweet, lap dog.  She wants to be wherever you are.  She does get very nervous and shakes when put in a kennel.  She is housebroken.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
