All applications from 2023 have been purged. 

All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

UPDATE 5//25/20 : Nakita is very frightened by storms foster mom used a thunder shirt which did help but she will probably require medication to help her with the stress . I would also think when fireworks are going on she may have fear also. 
 

UPDATE 5/8/20: Nakita has finished her motherly duties and is ready for her new home. She will be spayed next week and will be ready for her new normal.

Nakita came to us after running the streets. We soon discovered that she was pregnant with puppies. She is just the sweetest little girl. As soon as the puppies are weaned we will get her spayed and put this adorable girl up for adoption.

Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
