Buddy2 needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?

All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

***update***

Buddy was seen at TAMU and what was at first thought to be a collapsing trachea turned out to be GERD.  This baby has superfluous tissue in his esophagus that irritates him and causes him to cough! Not life threatening, and easily treated with cough suppressants when it 'flares'

Buddy was treated for heartworm disease.

He was neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

He's ready to be your love bug.  He has mild anxiety, and prefers to be with  his people at all times!  If you're looking for a cuddle buddy, look no further

Original intake notes:

This sweet boy comes to us as an owner surrender. He unfortunately has many medical needs in which the current owner couldn't afford. Poor baby has multiple issues which need to be addressed. He has heartworms, allergies and a collapsed trachea making breathing labored when he gets excited. His previous owner stated that he loves to be around people and loves attention. He got along really well with the previous owner's cat and would love to play with her even if she wasn't that thrilled about the prospect all the time.
