All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Tank was surrendered when his family could not keep up with his medical care.  Tank suffers from allergies and is scratched himself raw.  He has completely healed from his injuries.

Tank gets along with his foster brothers and sisters just fine.  He sleeps in a crate at night and is house broken, using the doggie door when necessary.

Tank has flea and food allergies Flea prevention and quality food is mandatory for a healthy quality of life for this boy.  He is doing great on Victor - you will need to agree to continue this food for him.

Tank does get car-sick.  So if you are an 'R.V.er'  Tank is not the right pet for you.

Tank is a lap baby.  He just wants to love and beloved.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
