All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

****** Update 4/29/21: Chloe has been treated for her bladder stone and will be going through a period of retraining her bladder. However, we can not assure that she won't continue to have incontinence issues and require diapers and patience. Now the good news. She is a little love bug that LOVES being with people.  Although she has no teeth, she has a good appetite and will tell you when she is hungry by barking and bouncing around.  She is fairly agile - she can still jump up on a couch. She also has her periods that she plays with other dogs and she is attracted to squeaky toys.  It's not her fault that she has had a medical condition that left her with incontinence issues - she DESERVES a quality life with someone that will give her a soft place to land.  She will pay you back with loving attention. Are you her savior? ******

Chloe was surrendered by her owner when her medical needs exceeded their ability to provide care.  Chloe was x-rayed where it was determined she had a large bladder stone (which would account for her incontinence)  She was scheduled for immediate surgery. 

She also presented with bi-lateral ear infections fighting both bacterial and yeast infections.  She is being treated for all of her maladies and is coming out of her shell.  While she is a shy quiet girl, she is a very loving girl who loves to be with her people.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
