All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This little man was surrendered to the vet to be euthanized.... but they just couldn't do this - Kill him because he's become an inconvenience?  ARE YOU KIDDING ME?  He's a healthy little man, who is just a mature, quiet, gentle boy who wants nothing more than a lap to lie in.

Please - no kids (under 15).  Since he's older, his tolerance for kid stuff is not to be tested!

He loves to cuddle under the blankets, is food motivated, and house trained.  He's looking for his senior family to give him the retirement he deserves.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
