All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Paris and Suzie were brought into the local animal shelter as strays.  No owner claimed them, so we tagged and pulled them to safety!

They've been fully vetted, and will be spayed as soon as possible.

Suzie's front legs were badly deformed.  Xrays revealed this was not congenital, but rather old breaks that were never treated.  

Our amazing ortho surgeon, Dr. Brady Hanson put Suzie under anesthesia to repair the damaged limbs.  She will need rehab and recovery time.

Suzie did not do well under anesthesia, so caution must be used at all times when she must go 'under'

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
