All applications from 2024 have been purged. 

All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This sweet senior boy was surrendered to BARC — without even a name. His elderly owners could no longer care for him due to their own health concerns, but sadly, they didn’t love him enough to leave him with the one thing that was truly his - his name.

We decided he deserved a strong, dignified name, so we called him Logan. And we promised him that from now on, his life would be filled with the love and respect he should’ve always known.

Logan came to us in desperate need of a dental, which we’ve taken care of. Now he’s feeling much better and ready to find a home that truly deserves him.  One that will cherish his gentle spirit and the unconditional love he has to give.

Regardless of his past, Logan’s future is bright and full of promise.

Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
