All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Zelle, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Bandit was brought to the BARC animal shelter as a 'stray' with an injury to his front paw.  after his 72  hour stray hold, we pulled him and immediately took  him to our vet where an exam revealed no specific injury.  He was able to use the leg without issue.  This precious boy is practically perfect.

Housebroke, playful, gets along with other small dogs, and cat friendly.

He will curl up next to you on the bed and stay there all night.  Clean and dry.

Bandy is a needy boy who is happiest when he's with  his people.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
