All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Zelle, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Severe bronchitis, collapsing trachea, skin infections.  total mess

This dog has known nothing but neglect her whole life.  She is being treated with antibiotics, medicated baths cytopoint injection, and lots of TLC.

Bella is a cuddler who loves to be in your  arms/lap.  

Due to her severe skin infection, she was not a candidate for spay upon intake.  After 4 weeks of antibiotics, probiotics, and medicated baths, we took her in for her spay and THANK GOODNESS we did.  She was developing pyometra, which is deadly if not caught in time.

Bella is recovering nicely.  She will be looking for a soft place to spend her senior years.  

Bella will likely need allergy shots or oral meds on an ongoing basis.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
