All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Max came to us as an owner surrender when the family realized their dad was not able to keep up with his care.  Max's mom passed away 2 years earlier, and during those 2 years, Max suffered from fleas and poor nutrition. 

Max is pad trained, but we'll try to improve that.  He has lived with other dogs and does well.

Apply for Max if you are looking for a lap baby.  Max loves to cuddle.  He is a quiet boy who loves laps.

We'll get him in the best condition possible!  Then, you can take over.

Please be patient if our response time is not as quick as you'd like.  We are all volunteers and do as much as we can when we can.

Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
